I have always found enjoyment in creating theme centered fun! Parties and gifts especially! If I am going to give a gift, I really would prefer to give something that is thoughtful or creative. It just makes it more special. I used to go crazy planning out the details and decorations for creating the perfect themed parties for my kid's birthdays and I'm pretty sure it was mostly for my need to have a creative outlet.

The idea for Pure Joy was born when a friend of mine was struggling with some serious bouts of depression. I had no idea how I could help. A thought came to my mind to make her a basket of sunshine. Included were many bright, fun yellow items but also happy little notes with words of encouragement. She expressed how much she loved the basket and how she hung up the notes so she could see them all the time for a few weeks. She has since reminded me several times of how much that basket of sunshine brightened her day and her life at that time.

How often do we have a friend or loved one who is struggling and we don't really know what to do? Especially when we live far apart. Of course our attention and genuine friendship are most important. But a little extra love to make someone feel a little extra special is always a great thing to do. Pure Joy was created to make thoughtful, creative, uplifting gifting easy. No matter the reason...or who you are...when you open up our package you will feel nothing but Pure Joy. We hope to be the reason for several smiles today and everyday.
